Harrier2Life
The project that will bring Harrier GR7 ZG509 back to life, whilst inspiring future engineers, pilots and Harrier enthusiasts alike
Restoring a Legend
The Harrier truly is a modern legend, born from inspirational and ground breaking British engineering. Harrier GR7 ZG509 will be a living example of the last evolution of the UK Harrier family of aircraft that saw operational service throughout its time with both the Royal Air Force and the Fleet Air Arm, a living memorial dedicated to this iconic and much loved modern warbird. Whilst ZG509 will never fly again, her unique sound will once again be heard in the UK as a result of your help and the expertise of our engineering team. Preparations are already well underway to move ZG509 to a more suitable engineering base where the real work will begin.
Our Mission
To bring Harrier GR7 ZG509 back to life safely, with passion and precision, and to inspire the next generation of aviation engineers, pilots, and aviation industry professionals
Restoration
Assessment and inspection of the aircraft has already taken place, and an initial parts list has been compiled ready to start the deep strip of the airframe, further assessment, and then the restoration of the key components and systems.

STEM
Because we know that not all the parts we need will be readily available, if at all, in many cases we will be designing and modifying alternative engineering solutions. We will be reaching out to schools, colleges and aviation apprentice schemes throughout the country and offering them the opportunity to assist with the restoration, STEM education being a major part of our mission.
A project of this nature is, by definition, an expensive undertaking, and in due course we will be launching our fundraising site so that those who are willing to support us financially may do so. You can find out more about how to support us in this way on our fundraising page here as well as some exciting merchandise and events we have planned.
